Christy is just the crazy animal lady who said "Hey! Why don't I bring my animals to the office with me? While I'm at it, why don't I name my company after the cats?" Thus, Ren & Rei Counseling was born. Oh! Don't forget the dog too!
Christy graduated from Allegheny College with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She then went on to complete her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Gannon University.
Before moving to Pittsburgh, Christy previously worked in the highest level of care in the state for adolescents through the Enhanced Residential Units at Perseus House, in Erie, PA. While here, she has previously worked in school-based outpatient services in Pittsburgh Public School District and West Mifflin Area School District, through Wesley Family Services and Family Behavioral Resources, respectively.
Christy has significant experience working with ADHD, aggression and anger management, anxiety, depression, bipolar, gender and sexual identity, borderline personality disorder BPD, impulse-control issues, grief and loss, attachment related issues, peer and family issues, low self-esteem, trauma and PTSD (including sexual assault), self-harming, and suicidal ideations and attempts.
Hello, my name is Caitlyn! I am an associate counselor who has had the privilege of working with people across the lifespan, from kids in the juvenile system to older adults finding their voice later in life. I have worked in residential treatment, school-based, and community mental health settings, using all of these experiences in the way I show up for clients every day.
I’ve earned my bachelor’s degree in Health Services from the University of Pittsburgh and my master’s in Counseling Psychology from Chatham University. I specialize in trauma and grief work, and I am currently working on getting trained in trauma-informed therapies, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). I understand how healing can feel overwhelming, especially at the beginning of the journey. My goal is to walk with you at a pace that feels right for you.
At the heart of my work is creativity, authentic connection, and helping you tell your story. Whether you’re looking for an outlet to express your emotions, seeking to reframe old narratives, or simply need someone to take a breath with you, I am here to help you feel empowered and heard exactly where you are.
Outside the therapy room, I usually spend time with my two bunnies (Hazel & Huey), who remind me to stay curious and enjoy the simple things in life.
Hi y’all!
I’m Devon, some folks call me Dee or Dev, whatever suits your fancy. I’ve had the amazing opportunity to travel to far off places and it has cultivated my love for all individuals from all walks of life. My favorite thing to do is learn about others, so I decided to make it my career!
I received my bachelor’s in human services and later graduated with my master’s in social work and received the honor of the Outstanding Social Justice Award. I’m trained in CBT, DBT, ACT, and trauma-informed care. I have had the pleasure of working with people from many cultures and backgrounds including undocumented individuals. I have experience with ADHD, ASD, anxiety, depression, sexual orientation and gender identity, adolescence, coping skills, trauma, interpersonal effectiveness, and more!
I believe in the importance of self-determination - you are the author of your story and are deserving of having your voice heard no matter the circumstances. My loved ones would tell you I wear out the phrase “you are a whole person!” Therapy is a collaborative process and I am open to trying all kinds of methods to help guide you to your goals and through your personal growth.
Jodie doesn't believe life moves in a straight line, and her career is proof of that. She started out working in a biology lab, then pivoted her career into counseling. Her path has taught her that there is value in exploring different interests and that those different experiences open up many new ways to connect with others.
Jodie holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from La Roche University and a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Jodie has worked across college counseling, community settings, and private practice, with a particular focus on neurodiverse populations and helping clients navigate career transitions, both of which are personally and professionally meaningful to her. She takes a person-centered, trauma-informed approach, to help clients develop meaningful insight while incorporating CBT techniques.
Outside of work, she enjoys going to coffee shops, drinking a cup of tea, dancing, or planning her next trip. She is also rarely without her dog, Saga.
My name is Kaylee, and I am a recent graduate of Robert Morris University with my master’s degree in counseling. I completed my undergraduate degree at Penn State Behrend. I’m also one of the few people who does not play into the whole Pitt vs. Penn State rivalry, so if you went to Pitt, you are still safe here.
I love reading and spend a lot of my free time with a good book or with my three cats, who I absolutely adore. I primarily work with individuals ages 14 and older who are experiencing anxiety, though I also have experience working with clients navigating ADHD, borderline personality disorder, depression, life transitions, and other mental health concerns. My goal is to create a comfortable, supportive environment where clients feel heard, understood, and able to be themselves.
Hi all!
I’m Lily! I’m an associate counselor who enjoys working together with clients to help them reach personal goals that guide them in their chosen path of life. I value working with you on things that have meaning to you; whether that be processing a loss, navigating relationships or going through life changes.
I attended Bloomsburg University where I majored in psychology then later studied Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Duquesne University. I have worked with individuals of all ages in outpatient, school and residential settings. With individual and family clients, I have collaborated to build strategies for emotional identification, emotional regulation, and setting healthy boundaries
I strive to empower clients to practice self-advocacy and value incorporating the passions and beliefs that make you who you are. Some areas that I have experience in are depression, anxiety, low-self esteem, interpersonal relationships, communication skills and autism.
Hi, I’m Madeline!
I see therapy as an opportunity to better understand your story, build
insight, and strengthen your connection with yourself and others. I
aim to create a space that feels validating, collaborative, and
grounded in real-life application. I often describe therapy as going
to the gym—it takes effort, consistency, and a willingness to show up,
even when it’s hard. My role is to support, encourage, and hold space
as you build strength in ways that feel meaningful and sustainable.
I work with children, teens, and adults navigating anxiety, trauma,
PTSD, women’s issues, self-esteem, and life transitions, with a focus
on interpersonal relationships. My approach is relational and
trauma-informed, with a strong emphasis on attachment work, and is
rooted in CBT, DBT, and person-centered care, while also incorporating
a feminist perspective. I am continuing my training in Internal Family
Systems (IFS) to support deeper, parts-based healing.
Before becoming a therapist, I served as a Navy Corpsman (medic),
where I was also involved in therapy dog handling. That experience
deepened my understanding of the powerful impact animals can have on
our mind, body, and spirit, and continues to shape how I approach
healing. I value working with veterans and those connected to military
life, and strive to offer a supportive and respectful space for those
experiences.
Outside of therapy, I spend much of my time with dogs and volunteering
with The Bull Terrier Rescue Mission. My connection with
animals—especially senior dogs with complex medical needs—has been
deeply meaningful and continues to shape how I show up for others.
I’d love to connect and see if I might be a good fit for you."
